This is the official site of the American Communication Journal. Our goal is to become the primary online journal for interdiscipinary scholarship on communication. Although ACJ publishes traditional research regularly, ACJ actively seeks articles, essays and reports that make use of hypertext, audio, video and PowerPoint–features characteristic of the media rich environment of the Internet.
Feel free to browse our Archives and submit manuscripts and book reviews for publication. And check this page often for Calls for Papers and Conference announcements.

Practitioner’s Corner
ACJ seeks to support those who apply the theories and principles taught in the classroom to the “real world” with a new feature called Practitioner’s Corner. If you work in the fields of public relations, marketing/IMC, journalism or some other professional area related to communication, please submit a report or podcast for publication. Reports should contain no more than 3000 words and all submissions should follow the guidelines for submission on the Tips for Submissions page. Please contact Anita McDaniel for more information.
